When are my federal corporate taxes due?
For multi-member LLC’s, S Corporations, C Corporations and Partnerships your federal taxes are due March 15. If an extension is filed timely, your taxes are due September 15. If you are a sole proprietor or single member LLC, your federal taxes are due April 15th. If extensions are filed, they are due October 15th.
Do you use Rapid Refund Loans?
Absolutely not! Rapid refund loans are an overpriced loan product that will advance your anticipated refund to you at exorbitant interest rates. The catch is, if for any reason your refund is withheld or denied, you are still liable for that loan. New Genesis Financial does not promote fiscally negligent products to our clients.
How long will it take for me to get my refund once it is electronically filed?
Typically if there are no errors on the return and you are having your refund direct deposited, you can expect your refund in 8-14 days.
I received an IRS letter in the mail. Can you assist me in resolving this matter?
If the IRS letter you received concerns a return that we filed, contact us immediately so that we can intervene on your behalf. If it concerns a matter that we were not initially involved in but you are a current client our ours, we will review.
How do I submit my QuickBooks file to New Genesis Financial, LLC for processing?
To submit your files, you must first download the CSA Utility located on our resources page. Once you have installed this file, review the guidelines at this link CSA IMPORT INSTRUCTIONS.
When are my monthly accounting files due?
Monthly accounting files are due by the 5th of each month. Bank statements and/ reconciliations are due by the 10th of each month.
Do you offer accounting packages?
We do not have a set package of services because we customize our services based on your needs and the level of involvement you would like for us to have in your monthly account process.
Do you update my monthly QuickBooks, Peachtree or other third party business accounting software each month?
Our policy is to not go into your accounting software and make manual adjustments to your file. Rather, once we are done adjusting your file for the month, we will provide you with our adjustments so you may make them manually on your end.
I am not happy with my current payroll services provider. How is your company any different?

I am already using an accounting software program. How can your service help me?
Our goal is to be a part of your financial team. As part of your team, we can assist you on a less frequent basis by interpreting financial statements generated by your software, troubleshoot general ledger issues and provide general training so that you are getting the most out of your accounting software purchase. What forms of payment do you accept?
Currently we accept payment via cash, check, Visa, MasterCard and Discover. Please note that payments by credit card will be assessed a 3 ½ % convenience fee.
I need to apply for a Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN). How do I do that?
You can complete for SS-4 on paper and submit it to the IRS. You will receive your EIN in the mail. However, you can get your EIN immediately by applying online. Visit our Resources page to access both the paper and online application versions.
I am a new corporation and I need to complete an annual report. When is that due?
Annual reports for incorporated entities and partnerships are due May 15th each year. You may file this report online at www.sunbiz.org.
Am I required to pay sales tax in Florida?
Sales tax applies to the sale, rental, lease, or license to use certain property or goods and certain services in Florida, unless the transaction is specifically exempt. If you are unsure whether your business requires the collection of sales tax, contact the Florida Department of Revenue for further assistance.
How do I apply for a sales tax certificate in Florida?
To remit sales taxes in Florida, you are required to apply with the Florida Department of Revenue. You may complete form DR-1 on paper with a $5 fee or you may apply for your certificate online at for free. Visit our Resources page for both the paper and online application versions.
When are my Florida sales taxes due?
Most “new” businesses are set up as quarterly filers. Your first quarterly return is based on the business activity or opening date you indicated on your Application to Collect and/or Report Tax in Florida (DR-1). Your first quarterly return is due in the 1st day of the month following the quarter ending date and is late after the 20th.
I didn’t collect any sales tax this quarter do I still need to file a sales tax return?
Yes! Florida law requires that a tax return be filed for each collection period, even if no tax is due for that period. If you owe no tax, penalty, or interest and if you are not claiming any deductions or credits, you may telefile by calling 800-550-6713.
How do I access my 1040 tax return via the My 1040 portal site?
To access your 1040 return, go to the client login page and enter your user ID and password sent to you via email and located on your 1040 cover letter. Before you submit this information, select the button located next to My Tax Portal then select OK/Enter.
I need to send my files for processing via File Exchange. How do I do that?
After you log in to your portal, locate the folder on your main page entitled File Exchange. Click on the folder and use the “Browse” button to upload you files.

I upgraded my Internet Explorer to version 7.0 and I am having trouble logging into my portal. How can I fix this?
Internet Explorer version 7.0 has increased its default security settings. The settings must be reset to medium in order to allow you to login to NetClient/NetStaff portals. To reset security settings in IE 7.0, please do the following:
I forgot my portal password. Do I need to call your office to retrieve it?
No, you don’t. You can easily recover your own password through the portal itself. In the www.netlinksolution.com login page, click the "Help! I've forgotten my password" link to have the password emailed to you. Note: The password will be instantly sent to the email address used under My Account section of your web portal. The email will be sent from the following email address, support@netlinksolution.com
If you are having problems receiving the email with the temporary password, the chance is that either your email has blocked the incoming email or the email address stored under My account section of your portal is not valid. In this case you will have to contact our office to request a new password.
